Well, here is another incredible bathroom transformation in the books. This couple bought a really nice 1929 Madison Valley Colonial back in 2019. The house was immaculate, but the master bath had a recent remodel done that just didn’t match the aesthetics of the house. So they hired Spinell Designs to bring it back to a more appealing and tasteful look. We gutted most of it, leaving the vanity and the heated slate floor. The design utilized the elements of the old bathroom that the client liked, and integrated them into the new design. The tub is a Kohler Tea for Two double soaker that is about twice the size of a standard soaker tub, allowing two people to use it comfortably. The shower utilizes the all the modern fixtures you would expect to see on a high end bathroom. They liked the vanity, but wanted it painted, so we sprayed it with fine and long wearing enamel that should last them many years. The lighting is unique. We integrated dimmable LED light valances over the vanity and tub with high end Acolite tape lights and drivers. This project was quite a challenge. Most of these challenges stemmed from the bathroom being located in a hard to reach upstairs bathroom. Just getting the 500lb tub (and $4k) in there pushed us to be creative by using an 44 foot boom forklift to shoot it over their immaculate landscaping and barely squeezing it through the bathroom window. But it all turned out well, and the clients are very happy with the outcome. We look forward to doing many more of these.
